                            The Missing Guru

Guru Angad Saheb came back to Khadoor, but in his mind he wished to seclude himself from the world and meditate.

He came to his Aunt (
BUAw) Bhiraee (iBrweI) and told her he wished to sit in meditation. He told her that he was going to meditate in an empty barn and that he wanted her to have the entry way bricked so that no one could enter the room. Mata Bhiraee did bot want to do this, but she thought that she could not say no to the Guru’s command. So she had the enrty way bricked.

Guru Angad Saheb stayed in that room and meditated. He did not eat anything or speak to anyone.

Back in Kartarpur, many Sikhs would come to see the Guru, but were disappointed to learn that he was not there. Six months passed like this.

The Sikhs started to get anxious, they were sad that they could not see their great Guru. The Sikhs searched in many villages for the Guru, but they failed to locate him.

Finally, one day a group of Sikhs went upto Baba Budha Ji who was well respected by all Sikhs. The Sikhs asked Baba Budha Ji to help them locate Guru Nanak. Baba Budha Ji said that he would help them the following day.

The following morning, Baba Budha Ji rised early in the morning as usual. He sat in meditation and saw that Guru Angad was in Khadoor. He took a group of Sikhs with him and went to Mata Bhiraee’s house in Khadoor. They asked Mata Bhiraee if she knew where the Guru was. When she did not answer, they realized that he must be somewhere around here.

Baba Budha Ji found the room that the Guru was in. He came up to the wall of the room and bowed to it and then said, “Guru Ji, it is me Bhai Budha, the congregation has come to get a holy glimpse of you.”

Baba Budha Ji then broke a hole into the room and in this manner the Sikhs were re-united with their great Guru.
